Business Administration Banking
Banks are a central pillar of our economic system. But the way business is conducted is changing: departments that used to be separate are now merging. Small, agile teams are developing new products in a short space of time. Business Administration Banking prepares students for careers in this complex, digital and globalised financial world, enabling them to successfully shape the digital future of banks.
Career Perspective
The study program Banking addresses students who want to pursue a career in financial institutions. It prepares students for jobs in retail, commercial and investment banking, including auditing such institutions or oversight roles within a central bank. The curriculum is broad, preparing for future positions in sales, consulting, trading, controlling or general business roles like marketing or HR.
However, DHBW is special. Students earn their qualifications through dual studies. This means that every three months, students alternate between studying at DHBW and receiving vocational training at their company, the so-called dual partner. Responsibility for education is equally distributed between DHBW and the dual partner as defined by a three-year contract between the student and the dual partner.
After successfully completing the program in six semesters, students will receive a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with 210 ECTS.
