Study Program
The Bachelor’s program in International Business and Management at DHBW Horb offers a three-year course of study with a wide range of lectures preparing students for work in a technical and international environment.
In addition to technical fundamentals, students acquire knowledge that enables them to manage and supervise international projects. Tasks such as negotiations in international technical sales or purchasing, as well as the coordination of global procurement and delivery processes, are part of the everyday work of industrial engineers.
Topics such as social media, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, digital processes, and sustainability play an important role across all subject areas.
Study Model Highlights
Thanks to the dual study model, students regularly alternate between the university and the company to gain practical work experience during their studies. This combination supports financial independence and provides strong opportunities for entering the job market.
In addition to learning specialist knowledge in small groups, students benefit from exchange with peers and organizations from around the world. Joint projects and simulation games are also part of the curriculum.
Experts from various countries contribute their knowledge, particularly on specialized topics and cultural differences. A study semester abroad at one of our partner universities is actively supported.
The dual partners also offer opportunities to gain practical experience abroad. The program typically starts each year with a practical phase in the company in September or October.
Prospective students
The International Business and Management program is ideal for students who want to work in a global environment and see themselves as versatile professionals with strong technical and mathematical skills.
It is a good fit for students who enjoy organizing and are interested in communication and networking within and between companies.
